Mare-velous Wild Horses of Campo Imperatore

What a spectacular finale to an epic mountain bike adventure! After grinding through the rugged terrain of Campo Imperatore, I stumbled upon this breathtaking scene of wild horses with their foals roaming free across the emerald meadows. The 262mm zoom on my D7500 captured these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat - mares nursing their young while others keep watch. The Abruzzo highlands never cease to amaze with their untamed beauty. Sometimes being completely wiped out from cycling leads to the most rewarding photographic discoveries!
