Biking up to Campo Imperatore revealed why this corner of Abruzzo earned its "Little Tibet" nickname - though considerably greener than its Himalayan counterpart! These rolling hills stretch endlessly toward the mountains, dotted with scattered trees like nature's own minimalist art installation. Shot with my trusty D7500 at f/7.1, because sometimes you need that depth of field to capture every blade of grass in this pastoral paradise. The dramatic sky hints at the altitude changes ahead on this cycling adventure through Italy's wild heart.
