Peering down from Vesuvius toward the ancient ruins of Pompeii through a foreground of dramatically bare trees - because nothing says 'romantic Italian vista' like skeletal branches framing your shot. The RX100M7 at 28mm caught this striking contrast between the weathered volcanic landscape and that brilliant blue Mediterranean sky. Those dead trees aren't just photogenic props - they're probably fire damage survivors, adding their own layer of geological storytelling. The sprawling valley below holds centuries of buried history, while I'm up here playing tourist with a camera, marveling at how this killer mountain still draws crowds.
